Rather than having big protein treatments every so often I choose to use a protein based conditioner more regularly. My current favourite is this!

DIY length check top
You can buy length check t-shirts for around £15, or you can make one for free! It's super easy and you can adjust it to your needs. For example, I chose not to just have numbers and instead have chosen to mark it to my body on it, this stops me having to wear so little when taking photos of my length.

Year Update.
Happy new year!
This year has been great for both me and my hair! My hair hasn't been this healthy or long in my life. Throughout the year my hair has been grazing waist length but I've been cutting it in order to get rid of damage and to end the year with completely (nearly) healthy hair.

My Natural Hair.
I've realised I don't have a whole lot about my natural hair on here, other than these texture shots. So I thought I'd show you all my natural, air dried naked hair and blow dried hair with products.
The photos have been taken on two separate occasions. The better quality photos are my naked air dried hair, and the webcam photos are blow dried hair with product.

Transformation Tuesday: Damaged relaxed to health natural.
The importance of reflection on anything, whether it be work experience, exams or a hair journey is important for a few reasons including seeing what works, what doesn't and even by seeing how far you've come.
The first time I started a hair journey was in 2007 when I was 14. Back then my hair was shoulder length, relaxed, dry and damaged. Here is the photo of how horrible my hair was. Sorry for the awful quality but like I said it was 2007!
I wore my hair in a bun a lot and didn't use much heat on it at all, however it was still pretty damaged. I've come to the conclusion that my hair just doesn't react very well to relaxers.
Below are photos two years later in 2009.

Apologies
Hi everyone I'd just like to apologise for my infrequent posting recently, I'm currently in my third year of university so I have a lot of work to do. However it's christmas break and I have a lot of exciting posts coming up.
I'll be back!
