Moisture overload!
I've recently moved back to university and have had some complications with it. From no internet to no house! During this time I feel off the hair wagon for a brief amount of time. I got a bit lazy so decided to do an overnight deep condition session. I didn't really put much thought into it but just went with it.
When I work up my hair felt horrible every time I touched it it broke off. The breaks were about an inch long and looking at the end of them they didn't have split ends. I realised I had my first encounter with a moisture load. Thank fully I knew what to do.

Hair mistakes you're probably making
1. Using blunt scissors to cut your hair
Even if you've bought hair dressing scissors they can still get blunt after a while.
2. Using dirty brushes
Cleaning out your brushes doesn't just mean pulling the hair out. There is a simple tutorial here.
3.Applying shampoo to your ends.
You only need to apply shampoo to your roots. The remaining shampoo will fall down your hair strand and take the dirt with it.
4. Using a blow dryer on dripping wet hair.
Wait till your hair is 70% dry before using a hair dryer, it reduces heat usage and can prevent breakage

My small amount of progress: Health over length
This is a topic I've never really talked about, the reason being that I've always struggled to follow this concept. I started a healthy hair journey because I wanted long hair, health was a secondary thought.
Recently I've been thinking about this topic more and more and I've decided to take on the concept whole heartily. I haven't really publicised this but about 3 months ago I had two inches of hair cut off. After a few weeks of constant heat, ripping out my hair when detangling but also adoring my length I've decided to start following the 'health over length' mindset.
