Year Update.

Happy new year!

This year has been great for both me and my hair! My hair hasn't been this healthy or long in my life. Throughout the year my hair has been grazing waist length but I've been cutting it in order to get rid of damage and to end the year with completely (nearly) healthy hair.

End of 2011

Shoulder length

Here my hair was pretty healthy, but this is also when I started university. During university especially in first year I would use heat my hair up to four times a week and didn't really deep condition. My hair continued to grow but it was damaged.

End of 2012

I reached BSL but I had a lot of straggly ends and my hair didn't feel or look very healthy at all. I also really didn't like how my hit has been cut here. The right side looks like it has a big chunk cut out of it

End of 2013

During 2013 I learned a lot about my hair and was much more strict when it came to looking after it, I've deep conditioned once a week (for the most part) and have continually cut off damaged ends. As you can see I gained very little in length due to many trims throughout the year, but hopefully you can also so how much healthier my hair is. My ends are blunt, my hair is shiny and my hair isn't dry!

I'm so in love with my hair at the moment, including the length. I actually don't know if i'll want my hair much longer, but i'm only about four inches of waist length so I have to go for it.

Goals this year:
  • Continue to deep condition weekly
  • Wear my hair natural more
  • Use straighteners only once a month
  • Use inversion once a month
If I follow these its very possibly I'll be waist length by the end of the year!

How have you done this year?
What are your goals for 2014?
